A career across science and exploration
Victor Maksaev Jurchuc is a Chilean economic geologist whose career brought together research and teaching in economic geology, regional geological mapping, mineral exploration, and public geological service. His work has focused especially on the metallogeny of the northern Chilean Andes, including porphyry copper and epithermal precious-metal deposits.
